I logged into Once Human in early 2026 with a weird mix of hope and muscle memory. The Gravity Abyss scenario had burned me before: Mutagen not dropping, one Riftwalker acting like a caffeine-addicted balloon, and that annoying Error Code 116 lockout that made me miss a whole evening of farming. Honestly, I was one more bad run away from yeeting my whole base into the nearest lake. But this time, the patch had landed, and I wanted to see whether the dev team actually read our reports. Spoiler: they did.

Aerial Hunt Gets a Real Payday ๐ŸŽ

I queued into Aerial Hunt expecting the usual chaos. The lag around player concentration used to make my frames cry, but the optimization fix held up. More importantly, the reward screen finally felt like a reward. The old kill-two-Elites task is gone too, so I no longer have to chase some shy Elite across half the map while my squad screams at me to stay in position. I wonโ€™t lie, that change alone felt like a gift.

Result Gravity Crystal Extra Loot
Win with personal objectives met 200 Downstar/Aero Mod Crate - Nightmare I x3, Gravity Abyss - Random Deviation IV x2, higher chance for Abyssal Core (Epic/Legendary/Mythic)
Win without personal objectives 120 Base completion rewards
Challenge failed 100 Base consolation reward

I used to walk away with pocket change after a win. Now 200 Gravity Crystals plus extra crates makes the mode worth the stress. If my personal objectives slip, 120 crystals still feels respectable, and even a failed run gives 100 crystals, which keeps me from tilting into next week.

The Riftwalker Is Less of a Bully ๐Ÿ‘พ

The Riftwalker still looks like it could fold me in half, but it no longer acts like a caffeine-powered pinball. Its ascent speed as Advanced Echoite was lowered, and its hover time increased, which gives me a window to line up abilities without chugging three energy drinks. The hover time increase sounds small, but in practice it gives my crossbow build a genuine opening. Before this patch, I would fire into the sky like a confused goose. Its HP was slightly reduced, so fights end before my coffee goes cold. The Mutagen issue in Gravity Abyss is fixed as well: Abyssal Core, Star Advent Loot Crate, Aerial Hunt, Broken Relic, Riftwalker Relic, and Gravity Integrator now produce Mutagen correctly. The Abyssal Core item description got a clarity pass too, so I do not have to guess what it does while a giant relic tries to sit on me.

A Graveyard of Small Annoyances ๐Ÿชฆ

I keep a mental list of bugs that have personally haunted my squad. Here is how this patch performed.

  • Biomechanical objects no longer vanish into the void when placement fails.

  • Light customization no longer triggers that strobe-party flicker.

  • Territory Terminal no longer gets stuck on rooftops in RaidZone mode.

  • Error Code 116 sign-in issue fixed, so I can get past the login screen again.

  • Shop page in Custom Server opens properly.

  • Female Oathbound Dream Headwear finally has base hair physics.

  • Removed tasks requiring players to kill 2 Elites during Aerial Hunt.

My friend spent half an hour stuck on a roof with her Territory Terminal last month. She almost declared war on the building. When I told her it was fixed, she said something very dramatic about finally feeling seen. Honestly, same.

If the Abyss Breaks Again ๐Ÿ“ข

I learned the hard way that reporting is faster than rage-posting. On PC I hit ESC and go to Support & Feedback > Submit Suggestion. On mobile I open the left-side menu, tap the headphones icon at the bottom right, then go to Suggestions > Submit Suggestion. If I am offline, I can email [email protected]. The team says they investigate as soon as they receive the message.

Overall, this patch does not turn Gravity Abyss into a cakewalk, but it removes the jagged edges that used to make losing feel unfair. The Aerial Hunt rewards make me want to queue again, and the Riftwalker fight finally respects my time. There are still things I want polished, but for the first time in a while, I am not drafting an angry email in my head after a lost hunt. 2026 me is cautiously optimistic. Now if only a Mythic Abyssal Core would drop.
