Once Human March 11 Update: Starchrom Overhaul, Ravenous Gear, and More
Alright, fellow Metas, let’s talk about the March 11, 2026 maintenance. Server downtime starts at 4:00 PT and is expected to last about two hours, though actual time may vary. The download is a bit of a mixed bag depending on where you play: about 10.1 GB on PC launchers, 64 MB on the PC client, 241 MB on Android, and 251 MB on iOS. A heads-up for Steam players: if the update is delayed, it might download more than once. I’d strongly suggest Wi-Fi, because 10.1 GB is not exactly polite to a mobile data plan. My jaw hit the floor when I saw that PC launcher number.
Once maintenance wraps up, we’re getting Starchrom ×1,000, Mitsuko’s Mark ×100, Starwish Token ×300, and Colorful Badge ×30, plus 3 Mod Compensation Crates that can drop one Level 14–17 mod each. Not bad for a little downtime.
Let me break this down the way I wish someone had broken it down for me.
🎒 The Big Starchrom and Blueprint Preview
Okay, this is the part that made me lean forward in my chair. Starchrom and blueprints have always been the heart of Once Human, but they’ve also been a little too tangled. Blueprint fragments, Wish Machine draws, Asterism, Stellar Stairway… honestly, it was about time someone swept this room clean.
After the March 25 update, the system gets a huge quality-of-life pass.
Direct activation and upgrades
You’ll be able to activate and upgrade blueprints directly from the Blueprint screen using Starchrom. No more drawing and combining blueprint fragments piece by piece. Weapon and armor blueprints will both work this way, with costs varying by type. The expected Starchrom cost should stay roughly the same, so this isn’t a sneaky price hike—it’s mostly about making the process clearer.
Oh, and Blueprint Conversion isn’t going anywhere. You can still transfer star levels between blueprints of the same rarity.
Wilderness rewards change
Exploration points, crates, mysterious settlement treasures, first-clear dungeon rewards, tasks—basically anything that used to hand out blueprint fragments will now hand out Starchrom directly. All fragment rewards are being replaced with an equivalent amount of Starchrom. As someone who loves hunting chests, this feels like finding money instead of coupons.
Blueprint Shop says goodbye
Since Starchrom becomes the universal currency for blueprint progression, the Blueprint Shop is being removed. If you have plans for it, spend that Starchrom before the March 25 update.
Stellar Stairway and Asterism depart
Stellar Stairway and Asterism are being removed entirely. Sources that used to give Asterism and Asterism Crates will now give Starchrom and Starchrom Crates directly. The monthly Starchrom acquisition rules won’t change, and you can check the current cycle cap right on the Blueprint screen.
Material conversion cheat sheet
Here’s what happens to your existing stuff after the change goes live:
| Old material | Conversion result |
|---|---|
| Blueprint Fragments | Converted to Starchrom based on rarity and slot; formula: Fragment Exp × 1.85 |
| Asterism | Current month’s acquisition rate converts directly into Starchrom acquisition rate |
| Unclaimed Stellar Stairway Starchrom Crates | Converted directly into Starchrom |
| Wish Stones | Converted into Mitsuko’s Marks |

🎰 Wish Machine Rework Timeline
The Wish Machine is like that stylish old vending machine we all love, but using it for blueprint draws was confusing, especially for new players. So it’s getting a glow-up.
-
After March 25, the Wish Machine will be temporarily disabled. It won’t provide blueprint fragments anymore, and it won’t be unlocked through Memetic Points. If you already have the formula, you can still build it.
-
After April 22, the Wish Machine returns with new activity rewards that do not consume Starchrom. You’ll earn draw chances by joining daily gameplay and completing activity tasks, and you can get supplies and cosmetic rewards. The formula will be unlocked by default, so building it whenever you need it will be painless.
So the old girl still gets to hang around—she’s just selling tickets to fun instead of blueprint homework now.
🏠 Custom Server, Territory, and Building Updates
There are some nice quality-of-life treats here too.
-
A Split and Withdraw button has been added to the Securement Pod, which makes managing secured Deviations a lot more flexible.
-
A new territory asset category has been added to the Appearance Gallery.
-
RaidZone building got more forgiving: foundation support increased from 3 to 7, allowing buildings up to 7 floors tall. The old pillar support inheritance was removed to prevent unlimited height. So your multi-level fortress dreams are suddenly much more viable.
-
Mobile now supports settings for Memetic Restriction and RaidZone Echoite bonus drops.
-
Server hosts can now set the Deviation level and attributes found in RaidZone weapon crates and storage crates.
-
One small trap to remember: when “building costs no materials” is enabled, collectible furniture still follows its own cost rule based on how many you own.
✨ New Loot Crates and Cosmetics
Time to dress up the destruction.
Ravenous Gear Lightforge Loot Crate
Available after the March 11 maintenance. This one is loud, hungry, and honestly pretty cool.
It features the Ultra vehicle skin Voidstar, the Legendary fashion set Bloodthirsty Mecha, the Legendary weapon skin Doom’s Embrace - SOCR, and the Legendary territory collectible Skyguard. The Voidstar comes with an exclusive permanent trail with a black hole effect, plus a devouring transformation effect triggered when speeding at high velocity. At top speed, everything converges, everything is destroyed, everything is reborn—very dramatic, very fun.
Limited-time offer: The Ultra Legendary vehicle skin Voidstar is 16% off for its first release and costs 10 Lightforge Gems. It will return at full price later, so if you want it, grab it early.

Island Cruise Theme Pack
Available March 19, 6:00 AM server time. The Epic theme pack Island Cruise, the Epic outfit set Golden Drifter, and the makeup preset Ember arrive together. Free as the sea, apparently.
Limited-time offer: Island Cruise is 22% off its first week, and Golden Drifter is 15% off its first week. Don’t sleep on that seven-day window.

Minimalist Storage Bundle
A modern and minimalist storage solution is coming soon. The Rare facility cosmetic bundle Minimalist Storage Bundle starts at 17% off during its first week. Check it under Territory - Facility Cosmetics.

Shifting Sands Weapon Skins
The Shifting Sands - KVD, Shifting Sands - DE.50, and Shifting Sands - EBR-14 Epic weapon skins and their Combo Gift Box will be available for a limited two-week run. Give your guns a stylish look.
Limited-time offer: The gift box and individual skins are 17% off their first week, and limited-time draws cost only 30 Crystgin each.

Meta Bounty Medals
After the March 11 maintenance, new medals arrive in Meta Bounty. Under Challenges, there are two new rewards: Trophy: Always Watching You and Iron Trophy: Beyond Surveillance. When eyes meet, time stands still.

⚔️ Gameplay Tuning and Fixes
Invincible Sun adjustments
The fire zone from Invincible Sun was causing intermittent server lag due to high-frequency stacking. The devs kept the core combat fantasy—quickly applying max stacks of Burn—but tuned the detection logic and values.
| Stat | Old value | New value |
|---|---|---|
| Direct-hit meteor damage multiplier | 900% | 1100% |
| Fire zone duration | 10 seconds | 8 seconds |
| Burn application rate | 1 stack every 1.5 seconds | 2 stacks every 3 seconds |
| Max periodic meteors | 5 | 4 |
| Fire zone single-tick damage multiplier | 400% | 800% |
Meteor spawn logic was also optimized so meteors work normally in tight spaces.
Other gameplay notes
-
Now, once your character reaches Level 50 or completes the Market Bounties tutorial task, you can summon V to quickly open the entrance and join more easily.
-
You can no longer purchase items while your character is dead. Seems fair.
-
Plant seed icons have been optimized for easier visual separation.
-
The gameplay reward details screen now shows Legendary crate types.
-
A guarantee system has been added to random mod drops across all levels.
-
Shop tweaks include adjusted Shining Newbie Pack sale slots, a Super Value Deals section, and optimized quantity selection pop-ups.
-
The Open Exploration Notes task was removed from the scenario journey in Endless Dream.
-
Construction Sharing management screen category and filter display were optimized.
-
Monster respawn frequency in the Illusory Pollution Zone was adjusted for better combat flow.
Notable bug fixes
They also fixed a bunch of annoying issues: the female outfits Blazing Resonance and Origin Zero displaying incorrectly, Greenhouse Core being wrongly saved into a blueprint, armor acquisition tasks miscounting in Unstable Secure, Pathfinder and Pyroclasm Starter trigger descriptions, Frost Vortex cooldown reduction for Pathfinder’s charged form, Invincible Sun’s battle skill multiplier, item rarity display during fast scrolling in disassembly, locally saved photos disappearing after relogging, Manibus commission unlocks, Armed Patrol Unit HP bars at long distance, crates near the edge of Ship Graveyard settlement, and badge overload blocking invite codes.
All in all, this update feels like the devs took a good hard look at the clutter and said, ‘Let’s make this smoother.’ I’m especially eager to see how the Starchrom conversion treats my hoarded fragments, and whether the Wish Machine’s new party tricks will keep me logging in daily. If you have thoughts, send feedback through the in-game platform—they really do read it.
See you out there, Metas.
