Once Human Tech Revamp Follow-Up Adjustments Arrive April 14
When the sprawling Tech revamp went live in Once Human's V2.3.6 update, the reception was anything but quiet. Players flooded the feedback channels, and the development team quickly realized that a few parts of the redesign needed another pass. Rather than digging in their heels, they went straight to work on a meaty follow-up batch scheduled for April 14. This mid-April patch reads like a love letter to anyone who enjoys smoother crafting, fewer inventory headaches, and a little more breathing room in the wilds.

Crafting, Weight, and Dairy Get a Breather
The first big slice of relief came for cooking and production loadouts. Crafting times across every dish and a handful of useful items received a trim, including the Harvesting Sickle, Gardening Shears, Whim Elixir, Thermoium, and Load Handling. The grind stopped feeling quite so punishing for Metas who juggle farming, building, and combat.
Facility weight also took a nosedive. The Deviation product Featherweight became noticeably stronger, and the material costs for both Load Handling and Featherweight were lowered. That combination made base logistics feel far less like carrying a sack of bricks.
On the dairy front, the changes hit the spot. Recipes now demand less milk, cheese, and butter, while dairy products show up more often during wilderness exploration. For any formula that asks for cheese, Stardust Cheese can slide in as a substitute without altering the final effect. Cheese production time was chopped down considerably, which means less waiting around and more cooking. Meanwhile, Satchels received a boost to their appearance rate, making looting runs a touch more rewarding.
Enhanced Facility Value Tuning
When players rebuild enhanced facilities, several key numbers now land in friendlier territory. The team adjusted the following values:
| Facility or Workbench | Adjustment |
|---|---|
| Enhanced Stove | Crafting time reduction 50% -> 60% |
| Stardust Fusion Stove | Base effect 30% -> 40%; buff duration 50% -> 75% |
| Custom Disassembly Bench | Output bonus 20% -> 25% |
| Enhanced Electric Furnace | Crafting time reduction 50% -> 60% |
| Recycling Electric Furnace | Energy Links for Acid reduced from 500 -> 200 |
| Medicine Supplies Workbench | Extra restored HP 10% -> 15% |
Some food formulas also required fewer metal ingots, which took another bite out of material hunting. For anyone who likes efficient production lines, this part of the patch feels like a quality-of-life glow-up.
Anti-Pollution Buffs Clarified and Extended
The anti-pollution toolkit got several meaningful improvements. Stardust Malt Ale, a popular anti-pollution dish, now accepts regular wheat instead of forcing players to chase down Deviated Wheat. Cooks who do use Deviated Wheat are rewarded with a stronger anti-pollution effect, so there is still a good reason to hunt for the upgraded ingredient when the situation calls for it.
Items such as Disinfectant and Chemical Agents now last a full 2 hours. Their descriptions were also rewritten to explain exactly what they do, cutting through much of the guesswork that used to surround anti-pollution gear.
Missing Favorites Return and Bugs Get Smacked
A stack of previously missing or unreliable items came back into rotation. Stardust Tea reappeared in wilderness locations, and its recipe can be obtained by exchanging Old Currency with NPC merchants. That was a welcome comeback for collectors and cooks alike.
The Portable MG Turret saw High-Explosive Automatic Ammo return through its advanced Tech. Players need to unlock the upgrade and then rebuild the Synthesis Bench before the ammo option becomes available. Spectrum Generator and Anti-Blockage Capsule also rejoined the wilderness loot pool.
Several silent gremlins finally got fixed. The old generator cap of 6 was removed; raising Tech Level can now push the limit to 8 generators. Healing Bandages, Pianos, Shutter Doors, Straight Ladders, and Updrafts returned to the Tech tree after vanishing. Pianos can now appear in spots like malls and residential courtyards, while Shutter Doors, Straight Ladders, and Updrafts show up in certain loot crates. Unlocking the Mini Sign Holder also unlocks the Small Wall-Mounted Writing Board.
Other bug fixes included AP Ammo working properly at the old Supplies Workbench, MG Turrets displaying their enhancement effects, and items like the Frying Pan and Corrosive Agent no longer disappearing while their buffs stayed active. The Digby Boy and Fetch-A-Lot Bunny Deviations can now be secured normally during wilderness gathering. If a player still runs into the same issue, a quick character relog should sort things out.
Eternaland Transfers and Invention Success
The V2.3.6 follow-up also cleaned up how Planters and Biomechanicals move between Eternaland and seasonal scenarios. These objects now transfer into Eternaland as items, and players can spend points to bring them back out. Each transferred Planter or Biomechanical item consumes 1,000 material capacity. A display bug in the Eternaland Depot was also fixed.
Invention received a behind-the-scenes buff. Results and success rates are now influenced not just by the type and amount of materials used, but also by a character's Tech Level. Raising that Tech Level directly improves invention success, giving veteran builders another reason to keep pushing upward.
Chef Class Gets the Portable Fridge and Old Specializations
After an internal review, the development team decided that Portable Fridge belongs with the Chef class far more than it ever did as a general Tech Specialization. It will shift into the Chef class system, with a release currently expected in mid-May. Until then, explorers can still find the Portable Fridge through wilderness exploration. Because demand is loud, the team raised its development priority.
The old Tech Specialization enhancement effects are not gone forever. Roasted & Dried: Low and Slow, Frozen Cuisine: Intense Chill, Canned Goods: Mini Canner, Spicy Pepper, and Stardust Dish: Shell Break are all slated to return as part of the Chef class update. If timing shifts, the team promised to share an update early.
Taken together, this follow-up patch smooths over many of the Tech revamp's roughest edges. It trims busywork, restores beloved tools, and gives dedicated players more reasons to experiment. The Once Human Development Team closed the announcement with genuine thanks to every Meta who submitted feedback, noting that player suggestions keep the game moving in the right direction.
